**Byte’s process moves from understanding the brief to delivery and ongoing improvement.** Clients work with a team that brings strategy, creative, advertising and website expertise together around their objectives.

## Understand

Discovery establishes the business objective, audience, service area, available capacity, current performance and deadlines. For care providers, service availability and enquiry handling shape campaign priorities.

Research and existing results provide the starting point. Forecasts set out their assumptions, giving the client a clear basis for planning.

## Define the scope

The scope translates the objective into deliverables, responsibilities and measures. It identifies client-supplied materials, approvals, system access and the change process. Dependencies include photography, product feeds, clinical review, tracking and development work.

The [working arrangements](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/working-with-byte.html) article lists the points to settle in a proposal. The proposal sets the schedule and working arrangements.

## Technical discovery and handover

When taking on existing work, Byte reviews the website, advertising accounts, analytics, product feeds and relevant integrations. The review records each system’s purpose, ownership and configuration so that the team can plan changes around the existing setup.

For measurement work, request the event definitions, relevant web and server tracking configurations where present, previous implementation notes and measurement scope. For ecommerce, identify the source of product information and how stock, prices and promotions reach the website and advertising feeds. For lead generation, identify the destination of forms and calls and who records their outcomes.

Agree which checks fall within the assignment and which require the client's developer or another supplier. Record dependencies and assign a clear owner to each outstanding task.

## Working with existing teams

Byte works with clients’ existing developers and internal teams where the assignment calls for their input. A useful implementation request identifies the affected page or system, the proposed change, the reason for it and who needs to approve or implement it. Where a client wants to start with a smaller task, agree that first stage and keep further recommendations separate from the authorised scope.

This approach supports coordinated improvements within the client's existing website, brand and supplier relationships.

## Prioritising improvements

Priorities reflect the objective, supporting evidence, expected benefit, effort and dependencies. Each proposed improvement has a clear purpose and a measure for evaluating its effect.

The delivery sequence brings together the elements needed for each stage: an agreed offer, relevant landing page, working enquiry route and useful reporting. Complete stages give the client practical progress and a clear next decision.

## Deliver

Creative, media and technical implementation connect around the agreed journey. The destination page reflects the campaign message and provides the information needed for the next step. Journey checks cover the experience people encounter after clicking.

For public-health work, agree the stakeholder and content-approval route before publishing. For existing websites, preserve useful content and understand the impact on forms, redirects and measurement.

## Checking and recording delivery

Use checks that match the change. A copy amendment needs factual and presentation review; a form change needs a complete submission check; a tracking change needs evidence that the intended event is recorded as expected. Delivery records describe the checks, their results and the next actions.

For website releases, distinguish the review version from the live version and confirm the agreed publication decision. Recheck the affected public journey after release. Keep sufficient notes to explain what changed, when it changed and how the delivered version is maintained.

## Improve

Performance reviews connect results with the original objective. Audience relevance, enquiry quality and commercial outcomes identify the next opportunity for improvement.

The [measurement guide](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/measurement.html) explains how clear definitions connect campaign activity with business results.

## Ownership and decisions

Clear ownership keeps decisions moving. The person responsible for each input supplies the information needed, and changes in capacity or scope feed into the next version of the plan.

## Sector planning and practical tools

Byte's published resources turn campaign planning into concrete working steps. The [public-sector planning guide](https://bytedigital.io/resources/public-sector-marketing-campaign-planning/) connects objectives, audiences, media and evaluation. The [NHS App toolkit](https://bytedigital.io/resources/nhs-app-adoption-campaign-toolkit/) supports campaign coordination, while the [recruitment marketing process](https://bytedigital.io/resources/process-for-digital-marketing/) covers audience research, the employment offer and campaign delivery.

For ecommerce, the [Shopping feed checklist](https://bytedigital.io/resources/google-shopping-feed-audit-checklist/) gives teams a practical framework for product-data review. For lead generation, the [conversion tracking guide](https://bytedigital.io/resources/google-ads-conversion-tracking-for-lead-generation-what-to-measure/) connects measurement setup with the outcomes the business wants to create.
