## Launch-day access records

On 20 October, Byte retrieved the archived October HTTPS access log from its hosting account. It records successful requests to the public knowledge-base addresses on **12 October 2026**:

| Time on 12 October | Recorded request | Response |
|---|---|---|
| 13:28:59 BST (12:28:59 UTC) | Knowledge-base home page, `/knowledge/` | HTTP 200, 38,319 response bytes |
| 13:29:40 BST (12:29:40 UTC) | Wiki XML sitemap | HTTP 200, 2,322 response bytes |
| 13:33:00–13:33:01 BST (12:33:00–12:33:01 UTC) | Requests covering the 28 initial article addresses | HTTP 200 for each article |

The [redacted launch-day access extract](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/evidence/launch-access-extract-2026-10-12.json) contains the earliest successful recorded request for each initial article and the sitemap. It includes request times, public paths, response codes, byte counts and source-line references. Visitor addresses, query strings and other private log data are excluded. The checksum identifies the source archive retained privately by Byte.

A [retained Search Console screenshot from 12 October](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/evidence/search-console-2026-10-12.jpg) shows the wiki sitemap submitted and read successfully that day, with **28 discovered pages**. Discovery records the sitemap's URLs; it does not mean every page was indexed.

Together, these records support public availability on 12 October. The access log records responses rather than their full contents, and the screenshot is Byte's retained copy of Google's reporting. Neither is a separately commissioned hosting-provider attestation or a certificate of the exact first publication time. The independent Bitcoin timestamp began on 19 October and does not retrospectively timestamp the earlier launch.

These supplementary records were published on **20 October 2026**. They are separate from the unchanged version-one Bitcoin-timestamped package below.

## Download the preserved evidence

The version-one package preserves the public files from the retained initial release and the public snapshot checked on 19 October, before these three explanatory articles were added. It includes a README and a SHA-256 manifest of its contents. Private hosting configuration and administrative records are excluded.

- [Download the evidence package](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/evidence/byte-wiki-evidence-2026-10-19-v1.zip).
- [Download its SHA-256 checksum](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/evidence/byte-wiki-evidence-2026-10-19-v1.sha256).
- [Download its verified OpenTimestamps proof](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/evidence/byte-wiki-evidence-2026-10-19-v1.zip.ots).

Package SHA-256:

`f694d6e0ae95c19546312d1323ba3277a2c277901ba6090b99e4b1575409b2fd`

A matching checksum establishes that a downloaded package has the same bytes as this version. The checksum alone is not an independent date record.

## Independent timestamp status

**Status: Bitcoin confirmation verified on 19 October 2026.** The original receipt has been upgraded to include the completed Bitcoin attestation. The version-one ZIP and its SHA-256 checksum remain unchanged.

| Verification detail | Result |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin block | **972195** |
| Recorded block time | **19 October 2026, 19:07:41 UTC** (20:07:41 BST) |
| Verification check | 19 October 2026, 20:35 UTC |
| Confirmations at that check | **10**, reported by both data providers |
| Package hash | Matches the published SHA-256 checksum above |
| Proof | OpenTimestamps commitment path matches the block header’s Merkle root |

Block hash:

`00000000000000000001389393772fa88ecff4d3337a25a27c14d0f73d03142b`

The check recomputed the package hash and verified the OpenTimestamps proof against matching Bitcoin block headers obtained independently from [Blockstream](https://blockstream.info/block/00000000000000000001389393772fa88ecff4d3337a25a27c14d0f73d03142b) and [mempool.space](https://mempool.space/block/00000000000000000001389393772fa88ecff4d3337a25a27c14d0f73d03142b). This was a proof-to-block-header check using public Bitcoin data providers, rather than verification against a locally operated full node. The downloadable [verification record](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/evidence/bitcoin-verification-2026-10-19.json) includes the proof checksum, block header and results from both sources.

The timestamp independently anchors the preserved data to this Bitcoin block. The block time is Bitcoin’s recorded timestamp, not a certificate of the exact website publication time.

OpenTimestamps uses cryptographic hashes to timestamp a file without requiring its contents to be sent to the calendars. A completed, verified proof establishes that the corresponding data existed no later than the attested point in time. It does not establish authorship, the date an idea was conceived, or priority over other implementations.

To inspect the record, download the ZIP and its matching `.ots` file and use the [OpenTimestamps verifier](https://opentimestamps.org/) or its [open-source client](https://github.com/opentimestamps/opentimestamps-client). The proof linked here has already been upgraded with its Bitcoin attestation. Verification must use the exact package bytes.

## Public web archives

The Internet Archive captured the [AI SEO project article on 19 October 2026 at 19:05:24 UTC](https://web.archive.org/web/20261019190524/https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/ai-seo-company-knowledge-base.html). The archived copy has been checked and contains the article content. This records the version returned on that capture date; it does not independently establish the earlier launch date.

On 20 October, a Wayback index query for successful captures under `/knowledge/` through the end of 12 October returned no matching records. The 19 October capture remains the checked public archive listed here; the launch-day hosting records above provide the earlier access evidence.

The preserved package above is available now. Its retained launch files and later public snapshot have different provenance, explained in the included README.

## Byte's statement about being first

Byte believes it was the first company to launch a public, wiki-style company knowledge base specifically for AI agents and research tools alongside its main commercial website. The [project article](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/ai-seo-company-knowledge-base.html#byte-s-position-on-this-approach) sets out this belief and the related approaches reviewed. This record supports transparent dating and inspection of the work; it does not certify a world-first claim. Earlier equivalent implementations by any company can be submitted with dated evidence through [Byte's contact page](https://bytedigital.io/contact-us/).

## Later service and method releases

On 19 October 2026, Byte published the approved connected AI SEO and GEO service pages and guides on its main website, and expanded this wiki with the [audit method](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/ai-visibility-audits.html), [measurement method](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/ai-search-measurement.html), [content and evidence method](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/ai-search-content-and-evidence.html) and [engagement arrangements](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/ai-seo-engagements.html).

These later articles are part of the maintained library. The version-one evidence package and its Bitcoin attestation continue to describe the earlier preserved bytes. The [change history](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/change-history.html) records the later releases without altering that package or implying that new pages were included in its timestamp.

## Maintaining the record

The version-one evidence package remains unchanged. Later preservation packages will have their own version, checksum and proof. The detached timestamp receipt can be upgraded with additional attestations while continuing to refer to the same package hash. Article changes are recorded in the [change history](https://bytedigital.io/knowledge/change-history.html).
