The brief
Make the depth of the business easier to explore.
Byte Digital's experience spans design, website development and digital marketing. The main website presents the commercial services and selected projects, but a researcher may need a more detailed account of the company, its working methods and its sector experience.
We created a public knowledge base to bring that information together. Its role is to help people, AI agents and research tools explore the business through focused articles and supporting references.
The resource sits at bytedigital.io/knowledge/ on the same domain as the main website. It has a distinct wiki-style layout while remaining connected to the services and project evidence it describes.
What we built
Focused articles with sources and useful links.
The knowledge base includes company and founder information, service explanations, ways of working, sector experience and project articles. Subjects are separated so a reader can reach the relevant detail without working through an entire company brochure.
Articles link to related topics and to relevant material on the main website. Evidence is presented with context: the project, the work and the meaning of any reported figures. Independent references are used where available to support specific facts.
The resource also includes structured data, alternative reading formats and an index for compatible tools. These publishing features support access and reuse alongside the visible HTML articles.
How the two parts of the website work together
Commercial pages and factual reference material.
A visitor who wants to commission work can use the service pages to understand the offer and enquire. Someone investigating the business in greater depth can follow the knowledge base to the working methods, company history and supporting evidence.
This division gives the pages different purposes. The wiki does not need to repeat every sales section, and the service pages do not need to explain every implementation detail. Contextual links connect the two when the additional information helps the reader.
Our implementation guide explains the structure in more detail. The project story records the rationale behind it.
Publication history and ongoing review
A documented resource that can develop over time.
We retain publication evidence and maintain a public publication record. It explains the archived material and the status of timestamp evidence, including the OpenTimestamps process used to seek Bitcoin-backed evidence for a specific archive.
The record distinguishes the original material from later changes. Timestamp evidence relates to the existence of the recorded files; the publication record is the place to check its current verification status.
The content is maintained as the company develops. New service detail, approved projects and factual updates can be added to the relevant articles, with corresponding changes on the main website where needed.
What another business can take from this
Start with useful information and a clear purpose.
The practical result is an inspectable public resource: organised company information, relevant source references and connected routes to the main website. You can explore the implementation directly rather than relying on a description of the idea.
A similar resource is most useful when a company has worthwhile information that is difficult to find or maintain. The first step is to identify that information and establish what customers and research tools need from it.
Byte's company knowledge-base service covers planning, interviews, writing, development and ongoing improvement. It can form part of a wider AI SEO and GEO engagement alongside audits, content improvements and technical work. Request an initial review to discuss the right starting point for your business.
